Spencer Strider delivered a dominant performance in what the Braves hope will be his final rehab start with the Gwinnett Stripers against the Norfolk Tides today. Demonstrating excellent command and velocity, Strider allowed just one hit over the first three innings, striking out nine batters in that span. His fastball consistently touched between 96-97 mph, and he effectively utilized his full array of pitches.

In the fourth inning, Strider issued his first walk to Vimael Machín but swiftly responded by striking out Jud Fabian for his 10th strikeout. Returning for the fifth, Strider maintained his command, notching his 11th strikeout by fanning Livan Soto. However, after a walk to Jordyn Adams and back-to-back hits by Maverick Handley and Dylan Beavers resulting in a run, Strider settled back in to strike out Dylan Carlson, raising his total to 12 strikeouts.

Entering the sixth inning, Strider matched Gwinnett's single-game strikeout record by sitting down Coby Mayo, for his 13th strikeout of the game. His impressive outing concluded mid-at-bat against Vimael Machín, having reached his planned limit of 90 pitches. Strider's final line read 5.1 innings pitched, three hits allowed, one earned run, and 13 strikeouts.

Following this stellar rehab appearance, the word is the Braves are optimistic that Strider is ready to return to their rotation. Fans eagerly await official word on his next start, which promises to be highly anticipated.
